Mission

Hillcrest Family Services enhances the lives of children, families and adults in need by teaching skills and providing information and resources. We advocate on their behalf and work collaboratively with local communities to provide a range of quality and innovative services. We share a historical relationship in our service to others with the United Methodist Church and the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Children, families, and adults will be safe and healthy and will gain greater control of their lives.

Hillcrest’s staff of more than 370 employees provided services to clients from 58 Iowa counties. Hillcrest is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Programs and services are coordinated through offices in the Iowa cities of Dubuque, Cedar Rapids, Clinton, Iowa City and Ottumwa.

Hillcrest is a ministry of The Iowa Conference of the United Methodist Church and the Synod of Lakes and Prairies, Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). It is one of the few youth care agencies in the state of Iowa having a chaplain on its staff to minister to the spiritual needs of clients. Ministry Options

Hillcrest is a member of the Dubuque County, Johnson County and Clinton Gateway United Ways, and the Community Chest of Washington County.
