| Title: | PM Coordinator (part-time) |

| Purpose: | To assume responsibility for making a grounds check for each Residential Education facility as well as the Emergency Shelter. |
| Qualifications: | High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree preferred. Experience working in the Human Services or related field required. Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record. |
| Reportability: | Supervised by the Director of Residential Education. |
| Scope: | Ensuring building security, program structure, and the safety of the clients in each facility during the night time hours. |
| Skills: | • Evidences the strength, judgment to effectively control the environment and promote a sense of safety and security among the clients entrusted to his/her care. • Must possess the written and verbal skills as well as computer skills to effectively communicate with his/her co-workers and the youth in residence. • Must have the maturity and sense of personal strength of provide each facility with the support, direction, affection, and guidance called for in each unique situation that may arise. • Must be grounded in an understanding of cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation of children and adolescents. • Basic computer/keyboarding skills. • Ability to utilize email in a courteous and constructive manner. |
| Relationships: | Works directly with staff and clients of each Residential Education facility and the Shelter. |
| Principle Responsibilities: | |
| Makes routine, but random, unannounced checks at each facility between the hours of 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night. Checks the grounds around each facility, with flashlight. Report any trespassers or problems to the appropriate authorities. Checks the condition of the milieu (client’s whereabouts, behavioral condition). Records their observations on the General Rounds Checklist. Documents any significant events into the Unison System. Involved, as requested, by supervisory or on duty staff as a source of support or transportation as the immediate situation demands, being knowledgeable of and implementing agency policies and procedures: emergency medical problems, runaways or returns to the facility, weather related emergencies, security problems, maintenance problems and/or fire. Thoroughly communicates and document pertinent information regarding each facility, and all significant events impacting the program during their shift. by completing the General Rounds Checklist, making log entries in each facilities daily log, as necessary, when making individual bed checks and verbally communicating to other staff all information necessary to the functioning of the program. Maintains and promotes a teamwork relationship with co-workers, supervisors, agency administrators, and other professionals. Respects the ideas of others. Attends all staff orientation, in-service training, conferences, workshops, and other educational opportunities as assigned. Completes all necessary documentation, relating to attendance, certification, and evaluation. Presents program content to other agency staff as assigned. To provide transportation for the clients according to program needs, such as emergency health care needs and runaway pickups. Operates agency or personal vehicles in a safe manner consistent with agency policies and procedures. Carries the cell phone each night, responding to emergency calls in a timely manner. | |
