Title:	Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Coordinator (part-time)
Status:	Non-Exempt
Purpose:	It is the expectation of the APP Coordinator to uphold and abide by the Iowa Department of Human Services Community Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Grant as well as the mission, vision, values, and policies of Hillcrest Family Services.
Qualifications:	High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with youth required.
Reportability:	The Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (APP) Coordinator reports directly to the Community Education Manager.
Scope:	Provides services and support to local youth.
Skills:
Relationships:	The APP Coordinator has direct impact on the youth and staff participating in the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program, along with clients and staff of the Professional Health Clinic.
Principle Responsibilities:
Plan activities (utilizing the Teen Outreach Program Curriculum), guest speakers, field trips and services learning experiences for youth on the following topics: Service Learning, Exercise & Nutrition, Careers, Creative Self Expression, Substances, Healthy Lifestyles (puberty, STI’s, contraception, refusal skills, etc.) Organize Community Service opportunities for Y-Club participants. Organize family nights monthly, including a meal, activity and education. Submit receipts and bills for program expenses to supervisor. Participate in Community Outreach activities such as speaking engagements, community health fairs, coalition membership, etc. Maintain collaborative relationships with Dubuque Community Y and School District. Identifies, cultivates and researches new opportunities for agency offerings with the existing and potential markets in conjunction with the Program Manager.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires approximately 35% of time standing, walking/moving throughout various facilities, bending, lifting (approx. 15 lbs). Drives to/from facilities.
