Carol L. Jefferson
Vice President of Mission Advancement
Carol joined Hillcrest Family Services from the University of Iowa Foundation. She served as Executive Director of Development for the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center in Iowa City, for the past 12 years. Prior to moving to Iowa, Carol was the Executive Director for the Capitol Chapter March of Dimes in Madison, Wisconsin and before that was the Director of Development for the University of Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Center. Throughout her career she has been involved with major gift and planned giving fundraising, campaign planning and management.

Howard Haigh
Mission Advancement Associate
Howard Haigh is married to Sue Davison and they have two wonderful daughters Sara Wiedemann and Shannon Davison-Haigh.
Howard is an Iowa boy having grown up in Manchester, Iowa. After graduation from Manchester High School, he received his bachelors degree from the University of Iowa in Sociology (1971), with a slight three year interruption, serving for one year as part of the Military Advisory Command in Vietnam as part of United States Army.
After this adventure, he completed his Masters degree at the University of Northern Iowa in Education with an emphasis in College Student Personnel (1972).
After graduation, he worked at Iowa Central Community as Director of Housing. Howard has been an integral part of the human service community for the past 35 years. During this time, he worked at the Iowa Department of Human Services and Iowa Department of Adult Corrections.
The last 25 years of this time has been with Hillcrest Family Services first as a social worker, then program coordinator and finally Director of Adult Mental Health Services.
Howard is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and since 1997 and has been a clinical advisor to Magellan Health Corporation in Iowa. Hobbies include travel, woodworking, boatbuilding and sailing.
