Hillcrest Professional Clinic
Hillcrest Professional Clinic is a warm and welcoming place where everyone has the opportunity to receive the health services they need despite their ability to pay. For over 35 years, we’ve been providing health and safe and effective reproductive services to youth, women and men in the Dubuque area. Our services are FREE or on a SLIDING FEE SCALE, based on income. We also accept most PRIVATE INSURANCE. We will always respect your privacy; all of our services are COMPLETELY CONFIDENTIAL.
Services:
Health care is delivered by nurse practitioners under the supervision of our medical doctor. The professional staff at Hillcrest Professional Clinic offers the following services:
- Low cost physicals
- Pap smears and infection checks for women
- Birth control — We offer many types of birth control and most are FREE to women who have no insurance or who have insurance that does not cover birth control.
- Male examinations including testicular exams and infection checks
- Family planning
- Pregnancy testing
- Unplanned pregnancy counseling
- STI (sexually transmitted infection) testing and treatment for males and females
- Breast and cervical cancer screening (for referrals from VNA)
- Immunizations for Hepatitis A and B and HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) for adolescents and adults
- Education on birth control options, natural family planning, abstinence, sexual health, healthy relationships and HIV/STI (sexually transmitted infections) to individuals, schools and community groups
- HIV testing
