Reflections in the Park

November 22, 2007 - January 1, 2008

More than 650,000 visitors have viewed this exciting drive-thru lights event since it first opened in 1995, and it has now raised over $870,000 for the programs and facilities of Hillcrest Family Services. Over 130 sponsors, 40 media partners and 300 community volunteers work together to make this one of the truly outstanding holiday events in the entire midwest.

The dozens of oversized displays (many of which are animated) combine with tens-of-thousands of tree lights, smaller displays and special lighting effects to transform Dubuque’s Murphy Park into a magical wonderland of light and color. Visitors can tune into special holiday music on their vehicle radios as they leisurely drive through the park to view the lights, displays, gigantic lighted stars and animated arches. Youngsters and adults alike will remember the joy of moving slowly under a deer as it leaps majestically over their vehicle . . . driving through an animated tunnel of lights . . . and seeing a large number of new and exciting displays every year.

Open to vehicles from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. nightly from Thanksgiving evening through New Year’s Day, the cost remains unchanged at $7 per personal vehicle and $50 for tour buses.
